I been gettin' all types of flack from Boss B. about me not posting. Since its 2010 I thought my New Year's resolution would be to post more on ATBAB...so with that said, Im going to start off the new year with a new series called: Controversial Conversations.... We will be touching on some the of the most taboo questions and answering them with logical but rather male chauvinistic behavior....

Why Are 42% Of Black Successful Women Are Single?

When looking at the facts, there's no getting around it. As black males, we have dropped the ball( I admit that) but there's always two sides to every story. We have to look at what these women label as 'standards' or 'expectations' and see if they themselves mirror those. If you value things like income, equity and other materialistic things where does that leave other things like: honesty, love, sincerity, understanding, chemistry, companionship? Often times women think of themselves as being unique or special or upper-echelon when comparing themselves to other women.

They see their fashion sense, degree, tax bracket or the way they maintain their hair as ways to differentiate themselves amongst other females. However what are those intangible things in which make you desirable not only to a man but, those things that make you desirable as a human being? You see how the same type of single, career minded women were having drinks together. Is that because they have ostracized their other female friends who may or may not value things such as designer bags and luxury vehicles.

It seems that black women have slowly become caught up with the same values as their white female counterparts. Please don't let this capitalist society change what you think is ACTUALLY important in a relationship. If these women in the video got what they were truly looking for...in a few years we're gonna see a bunch of black Ivana Trumps walking around cuz their rich, successful black millionaire husband is cheating on them cuz he got bored with you.

WHAT LOOKS BETTER? PhD? or Mrs?

Now don't get me wrong you would have to figure they did date some undesirable worthless men. They are educated, successful, and fine as hell. You tell me why their single? No black man in that situation would be single. Black successful men either go outside their race(basketball,football,actors) or grab one of their own. Not even the white guy asked ol girl for her number. Truth is men see the truth about these women. They smell the insincerity and materialistic attitude. They're not fooling anyone.
